ASEZ Students Express Their Gratitude Towards Their Professors

ASEZ students united together with the love of a Mother to create a gift for their professors as a token of their appreciation. The end of the semester entails that it is time for final exams and last minute grades, making the professors busier than ever. To help ease their stress, ASEZ members delivered gifts to them.

The Mission of ASEZ

ASEZ is a global group of university student volunteers striving to help “Save the Earth From A to Z.” As a part of this mission, the ASEZ students participated in a social service in their own college, the College of DuPage, to encourage the professors to know their hard work does not go unseen.

The members collaborated together to create gifts that would touch the hearts of their professors, finding out what candy they would like along with instant coffee wrapped inside of a mug. Not only did the students prepare a mug, but they also wrote handwritten letters of appreciation to each of the professors as well.

As God gives the teaching that it is better to give love than to receive, gift-giving helps people form connections and strengthens both personal and professional relationships. Through the ASEZ students giving their professors gifts, it strengthens their bond with each other while communicating their gratitude.

The Students Deliver the Gifts

As the professors diligently equipped the students with an education throughout the semester, the gifts were delivered to them to show they are valued and appreciated.

The professors were thankful for being acknowledged upon receiving their gifts, reciprocating the feeling of gratitude to the ASEZ students.

“Wow, thank you! It’s so pretty. Really, I thank you so much. I don’t usually receive gifts like this.”

Each of the professors felt delighted that the students were thinking about them even outside of the classroom. They saw how much time and effort it must have taken for them to prepare the materials as well as write the letters for each of them.

Multiple of the professors voiced their support for ASEZ, one of them saying, “You guys have been doing the right thing with this group, please continue to keep in touch with me if you need help with anything.”

The manager in Student Diversity Equity and Inclusion at the College of DuPage said, “Thank you guys. This is important for the students and faculty to work together for a greater change and I definitely plan to see you guys around more often. Things like this are so important so I thank you again.”

Through this event the students were able to create a sense of admiration towards their professors, valuing them more than they have previously. By sharing these heartfelt gifts with them, they could connect with their professor and build their relationship to understand each other more.

As the ASEZ members witnessed the gratefulness each of the professors expressed, it inspired and encouraged them to be sure to show their appreciation to those around them more often. Through this, the members are able to put God’s word into practice to give thanks in all circumstances.

ASEZ will continue to encourage love within the world, working together to bring forth change within the community.
