International Student Bible Academy (ISBA) volunteers participated in a 3-day camp held from August 20 to August 22, 2022. The education held during the camp covered various topics. Among them, they were educated about the kingdom of heaven inspiring the students to spring into action after realizing the hope for heaven. They carried out an activity to build gift bags for the Niles Fire Department. This small gesture inspires the youth of the Church of God to work together to lead people to God Elohim.
A Gift to Inspire Hope
God promised that our future is bright and that we will go to heaven where there is no more pain and suffering. This is the hope that God gives to all of us. As the students received comfort from God Elohim through the student camp, they collaborated together to build gift bags for the Niles Fire Department. Through these gift bags, they wanted to show their appreciation for their hard work. The International Student Bible Academy volunteers sincerely hope that the recipients of these gifts will be moved to not only receive this gift, but also the gift of God Elohim who can lead them to heaven.
Motivation to Spark the Love of God
The Church of God teaches that we should give love rather than to receive. Through this teaching, the student volunteers cultivated their mindset and realized the importance of actively showing gratitude to those who sacrifice for their community. Through this realization, they worked together to assemble gift bags for the Niles Fire Department.
The contents of the gift bag were specifically chosen to deliver a meaningful message. Each bag contained items such as Lifesavers to remind the firefighters of the many times they have saved a life and a Kind Bar to thank them for all their kind acts. Lastly, the bags contain the phrase “Stay positive and safe!” to relay their message of concern for their well being.
Although the students’ summer vacation was coming to an end, they took time out of their day to prepare this gift before returning to school. They hope to deliver God’s love to the Niles Fire Department.
The International Student Bible Academy volunteers will continue to grow as God’s children and share the gift of hope and love.
