Realization Through Experience
In July of 2021, young adults of the World Mission Society Church of God traveled four hours away from Naperville to Shawnee National Forest to experience God’s sacrifice and the work of the apostles. Through being surrounded by God’s creation for two days, the young adults could realize the amount of hard work and effort it took for Jesus and the apostles to establish the gospel in their time.

Not only two thousand years ago, but also in these last days too, they could realize the sacrifice and love of Second Coming Christ who re-established the perfect truth of the early church.
Uniting Through Fellowship

During the camp, the young adults had the opportunity to participate in fellowship with one another, building trust and deepening a greater bond as heavenly family. Whether they played sports together or played unity games, the young adults felt moved to be able to spend time with one another. The camp was filled with sounds of laughter and joy as the young adults could experience a glimpse of heaven when they were with each other.
Some of the activities the young adults participated in were tent building race, volleyball, tug-o-war, and a variety of unity games like passing a ping pong ball along a line of spoons. Even though some games weren’t the planned “unity games,” the young adults realized how much they should rely and trust one another in order to succeed in what they did. They thought about how not only in games should they communicate well, but even in every day life.
Especially in doing the gospel work together, they realized that each person has their own strengths and abilities. Just as the apostles had to learn to love and work with each other, it was the same now. Expecting someone to fit our own idea of them is not the way to advance, but rather getting to understand that member more and empathize with them.
In God’s Creation

The camp concluded with a hike in the “garden of the gods.” Reveling in God’s creation allowed for the young adults to realize just how powerful God really is, as well as the beauty He created. They could also walk in the footsteps of Heavenly Father, who had to climb up hills and mountains in the gospel work. Although it may have been difficult, the hardship encouraged the young adults to work even harder towards advancing the kingdom of heaven. That way, they could see the true glory of God with even more beauty than that on the earth.
After the camp, the young adults left with a new resolution to love and unite with one another with compassion, working together to spread the word of God to everyone around the world. By spreading hope like Jesus and the apostles two thousand years ago, truly they could save the world and enter the kingdom of heaven.
